I’d rather watch an anime about cute giant skeletons doing cute things.
If there’s anything worse than the shrill cry of desperation, it’s the deafening silence of indifference.
Inu x Boku SS is shockingly bland. I can’t think of a single thing that could constitute as a ‘strong point’. To put it in a less crude manner: “It’s not good, but it’s not bad either.” I’d give it more credit for being decent, but in an age where a show like Guilty Crown exists solely to be mocked, mediocre is possibly the worst thing you can be.
I suppose you can commend the series for well placed fanservice, but that’s hardly a great achievement when you think about it. The production values are decent, but the color palette is just as bland as the rest of the series. There’s this weird use of washed out pastel colors that just doesn’t sit right with me.
Yes– Inu x Boku SS is decent at best and will certainly find an audience fit to appreciate its charms (whatever those charms are). I know I’m being very harsh on Inu x Boku SS, but it would’ve helped if this series didn’t seem so devoid of any ambition.
