Dear Yoshihiro Togashi,
Why are you such are a fabulous bastard?!
Wow. Just– wow. This chapter was amazing.
And who would’ve thought that Killua actually had a sibling he got along with so well? I don’t think I have a lot to say about it other than Alluka is possibly the most moe character in the HxH universe despite her horrific wish granting ability that puts Kyuubey to shame.
Illumi thinking he was Killua’s most beloved person was hilarious, even Hisoka commented on that.
For the first time, we see Hisoka feeling uneasy. The situation regarding Killua, Alluka and Gon could cost thousands of lives if ever Killua fails to execute his plan. The kid plans to have someone else wish for Gon to recover and he’ll have to fulfill Alluka’s requests himself, if he should fail these requests Killua, his most loved one and roughly around 10,000 other people will die. If two lives aren’t sufficient to pay the price of the previous wish, Alluka’s system requires the lives of the people Killua’s spent the most time with. If Killua fails to complete the missions, everyone in the manga will die. It’d be damn funny if that were the case and Togashi decides to end it there.
But it seems Killua knows more about Alluka than anyone else and might have an idea on how to conquer the wish granting system. I really hope this means that Illumi and Hisoka won’t kill Alluka, it’d break my heart.
Killua explains that there are two entities residing inside Alluka, the real one is the one that refers to him as Onii-chan and happens to be a female. The other one, is the one who refers to him simply as ‘Killua’ and is an entity that is something else entirely. I’m starting to think this ‘other’ Alluka might be connected to the Vice President of the Hunter Association, Rat.
Edit: (Taken from my reply aimed at Marow) It just seems that way to me. Killua and the Zoldycks keep on saying how Alluka seems from somewhere else and I don’t know why more people haven’t pointed it out but in chapter 321 you can see a panda stuffed toy during the Zodiac meeting. You can see it sitting beside Cheadle. Coincidentally, it’s the same panda sitting beside Alluka in her room. Very intriguing stuff.
The events in the last few chapters have been amazing and this is shaping up to one hell of an arc for this manga. It’s also cool that Togashi shifts the focus on Killua instead, last time we had Kurapika be the main character in the York Shin arc.
I also liked how we get to see how things are run in the Zoldyck mansion. Butlers are educated from a very young age and are treated as property, servants of the house found to have lovers are punished by death and none of the family members think this is unreasonable. This is also the first time I’ve seen Hisoka so uneasy as well, he’s probably realized how serious the situation actually is.
Say what you want about the anime, but the manga is an amazing piece of work.
Alluka will protect you Onii-chan. Source:
